In this section I will endeavour to list most of the Orders and Decorations of the above country that were instituted from 1800 until 1990.

Order of Military Merit 1900 -1915 (1st Type)
The Order was established by Prince Ferdinand I on 18th May 1900. This was the fifth Bulgarian Order to be founded to be awarded to officers for outstanding merit in time of war. The crown used was the Royal crown.

The Order was established by Prince Ferdinand I on 18th May 1900. This was the fifth Bulgarian Order to be founded to be awarded to officers for outstanding merit in time of war. The crown used was the Royal crown. The addition of the War decoration is the main difference to the 2nd type

Order of Military Merit 1947 -1974(4th Type)
The Order was established by Prince Ferdinand I on 18th May 1900. This was the fifth Bulgarian Order to be founded to be awarded to officers for outstanding merit in time of war. The crown used was the Royal crown. The reverse medallion now has no Lion but the three Bulgarian colours diagonally in the centre.
